Self-Erecting Crane Acquisition Options

c) Operating Lease Scheme:
This is a 5 year operating lease period. It enables use of a crane for a known cost over a 5 year term.
All payments allowable for tax offset.
Servicing, maintenance & repairs can all be factored into the price and are carried out by the manufacturer's agent.

This will result in a cost saving of 30-50% of normal hire rates.

33 Metre CM82S4 approximate cost £220/week
36 Metre CM75S4 approximate cost £260/week
41 Metre CM90S4 approximate cost £300/week		  

Check List For Crane Purchasers

1) Check for aerial obstuctions, power lines etc.

2) Solve any over-sailing issues with adjacent property owners.

3) Crane base to be on same level as surrounding ground where possible.

4) Site for crane base to be suitably prepared, clear of any loose materials and obstructions. Base construction depends on ground conditions and crane model.

5) Power source mains or generator available to install and operate crane, fully earthed and protected.

6) Hard access onto and across site, free from obstruction and suitable to install and remove crane from site at the end of project.

7) *Operators to be trained and crane owner satisfied that the operator is a fit person to operate and care for a high value piece of equipment.

8) All chains and crane attachments to be safe and fit for use, certified and fitted with safety equipment or nets where applicable.

9) Full risk assessment procedure to be in place.


*Note: under HASAWA & other relevant legislation it is the employers responsibility, following basic training, to ensure that the operator is given sufficient time to familiarize with the machine & site before authorizing to operate to Commercial Standards.
